A Professor of Biostatistics at Université Paris Cité, I am a member of the METHODS team at CRESS-UMR1153, hold a chair at the PR[AI]RIE Artificial Intelligence Institute, am the co-director of the Centre Virchow-Villermé. I also serve as the director of the College of Doctoral Studies at Université Paris Cité, and as a member of the Comité d’Evaluation Ethique/Institutional Review Board of Inserm.
With extensive expertise in biostatistics, I am actively involved in both statistical and applied clinical research, including clinical trials, observational studies, and prognostic studies. My research interests are centered on statistical and machine learning methods for personalized medicine and methods for causal inference on treatment effects, particularly through the use of clinical trials or observational studies. I am also a participant in several international projects, including NECESSITY (NEw Clinical Endpoints in primary Sjögren’s Syndrome: an Interventional Trial based on Stratifying Patients), funded by H2020-JTI-IMI2, and MORE-Europa (More Effectively Using Registries to Support Patient-centered Regulatory and HTA Decision-making), recently funded by Horizon Europe. I was previously the leader of the Work Package on Clinical Trials Designs for Personalized Medicine in the H2020-funded PERMIT (PERsonalised MedicIne Trials) project.
