I am a professor of epidemiology at Université Paris Cité and Columbia University (New York). I am also the director of an INSERM-Columbia University International Associated Laboratory on chronic diseases and multimorbidity, which uses real-world hospital data for therapeutic evaluation.
I founded Cochrane France in 2010 and served as its director for ten years. As the principal investigator for ComPaRe (an online cohort of approximately 65,000 adults with chronic diseases), I am also the director of the cross-cutting LORIER program (INSERM’s initiative for Ethical and Responsible Research) and chair of CESREES (the Ethical and Scientific Committee for Research, Studies, and Evaluations in the Health Field).
My research focuses on the design, validation, and refinement of methodological frameworks used to evaluate therapeutic interventions for chronic diseases.
