Joseph Emmerich, MD, PhD, FESC is a cardiologist Professor of Vascular Medicine (University Paris Cité) in the Vascular Dept of Hopital Saint-Joseph, Paris, France. He has been a Research Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Vermont 2002-2010 and director of the INSERM laboratory U765 (Thrombosis: epidemiology, physiopathology and innovative therapy). He was also one of the directors of the French medical agency (ANSM) and alternate member to the CHMP (EMA) from 2013 to 2019. He is currently working in the Vascular Medicine dept and is coordinating the varicose vein institute of hôpital Paris Saint-Joseph (>2400 operations per year).
