Our teams: METHODS

Anesthesia and Intensive Care research provides a large body of precious but potentially biased observational data.

Integrating these data with evidence from randomized controlled trials in a meta-analysis represents a methodological challenge, because of inherent differences between the two types of design.

We focus on the methods used by the authors of these meta-analyses to highlight their limitations and suggest improvements according to the recommendations.

Research interests

  • Observational studies and randomized controlled trials
  • Systematic review and meta-analysis
  • Intensive Care/ Anaesthesia and comparative effectiveness research
