Pr Julia is a public health nutritionist, head of the Public Health Department of the Paris-Seine-Saint-Denis Hospitals (93) and a senior researcher in the Nutritional Epidemiology Research Team (EREN), in Sorbonne Paris Nord University. As a nutrition epidemiologist, she develops population-based studies (observational studies in the general population, in specific populations and intervention studies) to evaluate the relationship between dietary behaviour and health and focuses her research on the evaluation of public policies in nutrition. She participated in the development and validation of the Nutri-Score in France. She is recognised as an international expert in the field of front-of-package nutrition labels and nutrient profiling.
