Master of Public Health - Population Epidemiology and Health Prevention (EPIPOP) course

The aim of the Master 2 Population Epidemiology and Prevention in Public Health (EPIPOP) course is to train professionals who are experts in epidemiology in the field of public health and research. This course is the second year of a Master's degree, lasting one academic year and divided into 2 semesters:

  • 1st semester, with a theoretical part of approximately 300 hours (11 teaching units are offered to students)
  1. Methods in epidemiology - Fundamentals
  2. Methods in epidemiology - Advanced methods
  3. Introduction to R software
  4. Epidemiological surveillance and health monitoring - Basics
  5. Epidemiological surveillance and health monitoring - In-depth study
  6. International health - Global health - Basics
  7. International health - Global health - Advanced
  8. Genetic epidemiology and tropical communicable diseases
  9. Environmental health
  10. Social epidemiology
  11. Methods in the evaluation of diagnostic tests and biomarkers
  • 2nd semester with a 5-month research or professional training placement in a research laboratory.
