The scientific integrity training course for first-year doctoral students took place on April 14, 2026, in person from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event provided an opportunity to address several major issues related to responsible research and scientific transparency. The various workshops focused on the pre-registration of research protocols, the writing of scientific articles according to international best practices, and the use of reporting guidelines to improve the quality and reproducibility of scientific work. The doctoral students also took part in a “dilemma game,” an interactive exercise designed to confront them with concrete ethical situations encountered in the research environment.
The program included: “Protocol Registration,” led by Wen Lun Yuan and Carolina Grana; “Reporting Guidelines,” led by Marion Lecorguillé and Sally Yaacoub; and the “Dilemma Game,” led by Melissa Amyx and Mauricia Davidson.
This training helped raise awareness among early-career researchers about the growing demands for integrity, methodological rigor, and scientific responsibility, at a time when the reliability of research findings represents a crucial issue for both the scientific community and society as a whole.
