Presentation of the booth “Are you (really) in good shape?” at the Science Festival, by the EpiAgeing team
As part of the Science Festival, Clémence CAVAILLES, Céline BEN HASSEN and Benjamin LANDRÉ, postdoctoral researchers in the EpiAgeing team, hosted a booth on Friday, October 10, at the Science Village organized by Université Paris Cité.
This booth offered visitors a fun and interactive way to explore various aspects of research on the epidemiology of ageing. Both kids and adults got the chance to try out some of the main measures of physical function (grip strength, walking tests, …) and cognition (Mini-Mental State Examination, Trail Making test, …) commonly used in large population-based cohorts, and to better understand the challenges epidemiologists face when trying to quantify individuals’ performances across the lifespan and in different contexts.
