This international symposium of general interest will bring together top-level researchers to synthesize current knowledge about the integral role of sleep in various aspects of dietary behavior and health status. The symposium is part of the scientific cooperation between the Nutritional Epidemiology Research Team https://cress-umr1153.fr/fr/teams/eren/ (UMR USPN-Paris13 / U1153 Inserm / U1125 Inrae /Cnam) and the Center of Excellence for Sleep & Circadian Research https://www.vagelos.columbia.edu/departments-centers/centers-and-institutes/center-excellence-sleep-circadian-research at Columbia University in New York. This event will highlight scientific advances regarding circadian rhythm (also known as the “internal clock”), nutrition, physical activity and cardio-metabolic health, from a clinical, epidemiological and ethological perspective. The program will include: presentations of research findings, poster presentations, and a round table to inform, discuss, and raise awareness about the issues surrounding sleep and health at any age.
