European Project Manager
Team CRESS: OPPaLE
Context: The Project Manager will be responsible coordinating and managing the administrative, financial, logistic and regulatory activities for the IMPROVE PRETERM project under the supervision of the project leader, Jennifer Zeitlin, and in collaboration with the research coordinators (80% of time). The manager will also oversee inclusions in the TREOCAPA-LT pilot study on the RECAP Preterm platform as part of the LIFT-UP PRETERM project (20% of time) and ensure coordination between the IMPROVE PRETERM and LIFT-UP projects.
Missions – list of activities:
- Monitor and ensure the respect of contractual deadlines and deliverables according to the established schedule of the IMPROVE PRETERM Project.
- Organize IMPROVE PRETERM consortium meetings, including producing the agenda and summary documents with minutes and decisions made in the meeting.
- Ensure financial and budgetary oversight of the IMPROVE PRETERM Consortium.
- Coordinate communication with the funding agency including, if necessary, amendments to the grant agreement on behalf of the IMPROVE PRETERM Consortium.
- Disseminate relevant information to IMPROVE PRETERM partners—scientific leads, administrative staff—and any other bodies set up for the project, including the scientific and ethics advisory board and the parents’.advisory board.
- Monitor compliance with the data management plan, including regulatory requests (ethics authorizations and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs)) made by the IMPROVE PRETERM partners, maintain a repository of regulatory documents and coordinate exchanges with the external ethics advisor.
- In collaboration with the regulatory authorities at Inserm, update the DPIA for the platform and produce new DPIAs for data sources held at Inserm that are added to the platform.
- Contribute to the drafting and consolidation of scientific and financial activity reports for the IMPROVE PRETERM consortium and to the European Commission.
- Participate in IMPROVE PRETERM communication activities both within and outside the Consortium, including updating the website and maintaining the project’s SharePoint.
- Follow inclusions in the TREOCAPA-LT study being carried out on the platform (monitor responses, contact unit staff to remind them to contact parents, create access to the platform and assist unit staff in using the platform).
- Maintain communication with the platform’s developer.
- Participate in meetings to update on the TREOCAPA-LT studies and assist with regulatory and administrative activities in collaboration with the project manager for this study.
- Ensure coordination on the RECAP Preterm platform in the LIFT-UP PRETERM and IMPROVE PRETERM projects
Profile required:
- Medical research and associated regulatory issues
- Applied clinical research (scientific reasoning, methodology, data acquisition and processing, publication of results, etc.)
- Project management and coordination
- Expertise in maternal and child health will be a plus
- Knowledge of clinical and epidemiological research methods
- Management and coordination of research projects
- Knowledge of reglementary procedures for research, including the EU GDPR
- Fluent written and spoken English (required) and French (preferred)
- Rigor and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good writing skills
- Experience in the administrative and regulatory management of clinical research projects
- Experience working in European projects would be a plus
- PhD or Master’s degree in biomedical research or related fields

Duration of employment: 24 months, renewable contract

Condition of employment:
- Full time
- 38h30 weekly hours
- Vacation and other days off (3.5 days per month accrued starting the first month of work)
- Teleworking : 2 days per week contingent on approval by supervisor
Salary: Contractual workers: starting at 2 997,20 € (gross wage) for a candidate with a PhD and 2 494,30 € for a candidate with a MSc; the amount is established in relation to professional experience.
