The NutriNet-Santé study was set up to investigate nutrition and health relationships.
It is the first web-based cohort worldwide in this area and on such a large scale (n=160,000 as of 2017). It is characterized by a very detailed assessment of traditional and emerging dietary exposures and behaviours, a continuous surveillance and validation of multiple health events, and a biobank of samples of serum, plasma, buffy-coats for genetic analyses, and urine (n=19,600). It represents a unique platform for multidisciplinary collaborations, with the flexibility to add new protocols/questionnaires.
Pilot studies are ongoing to expand NutriNet-Santé to other countries (EREN team).
